The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) in Bauchi State, has commenced a three months training on Solar Energy panels Installation and Maintenance for 25 unemployed graduates and the beneficiaries will be provided with starter pack tools and solar maintenance kits.
NDE State Coordinator in Bauchi, Lawan Yaya, who disclosed this during the flag-off of the training on Thursday in Bauchi, said the exercise is being conducted by NDE in collaboration with Abuja Graduate School adding that the participants were selected across the 20 LGAs of the state.
The coordinator explained that the objectives of the training are to engage the team of unemployed graduates in new marketable trades, especially in energy generation and renewable energy and its maintenance to become self-reliant in the state.
He added that the training has one week of exercise and practical training that will last for a three months period, adding that the trainees are expected to be self-employed and share the skills with other unemployed youth in their communities.
