The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) in Kaduna has embarked on a two-day Basic Business Training (BBT) workshop for the 774,000 beneficiaries of the Extended Special Public Works(ESPW) in Kaduna.
The ESPW programme was flagged off in January with 1000 beneficiaries selected from each of the 774 local government areas of the country.
The NDE Director-General, Mallam Abubakar Nuhu- Fikpo, who was represented by Musa Ibrahim, said the training was part of the exit strategies for the ESPW beneficiaries so that they can be self-reliant and empower others.
Also, the State Coordinator, Alhaji Sani Maiwada, said the training was aimed at equipping beneficiaries with entrepreneurial skills to educate them on businesses they could venture into with little capital.
