The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Akwa Ibom Command says it has apprehended 385 suspects and seized 525.274kg of drugs in the last quarter of 2019.

State Commander of NDLEA Mohammed Sokoto said 24 convictions were secured during the period, adding that of the 385 suspects, 343 were males while 42 were females.

Speaking yesterday in a press statement he signed and made available to newsmen in Uyo, the commandant explained that the command has rehabilitated and counseled 225 clients and people who used drugs.

He added that 16 drug dependent persons were successfully rehabilitated including two medical students.
