The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested two police officers for their alleged involvement in the shipment of 1,250 rounds of live ammunition.

Spokesman of the agency, Jonah Achema, said yesterday in a statement in Abuja that the live ammunition was intercepted by the NDLEA FCT Command during a patrol at the Gwagwalada end of Abuja-Lokoja Expressway.

He said the consignment was sent through a transport company from Lagos to be collected by the policemen.

“The two policemen, Jacob Jalwap, an Assistant Superintendent of Police and Nandul Seizing, a Corporal, were arrested in Jos.
