The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Anambra has arrested 20 suspects engaged in drug trafficking in the state.

The state commandant of the agency, Sule Momodu, said the suspects were arrested during a raid on flash points ahead of next month’s general elections in Anambra State.

He also said the raid would continue until after the elections.

According to him, the agency would not hesitate to arrest and prosecute any politician engaged in aiding and abetting such dangerous trend in Anambra, no matter how highly placed.

“There is no crime without drug, it is an enabler for people to commit crimes,” he said.
