Twenty-one suspected drugs dealers have been arrested by the Taraba Command of the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) with 299.6 kilogrammes of assorted illicit drugs.

Parading the suspects and the seized items in Jalingo on Friday, the Commander of the NDLEA in the state, Alhaji Suleiman Jadi, said operatives of the command made the arrests in some flash points across the state.

He disclosed that the items seized include 239.9kg of cannabis sativa and 59.7kg of psychotropic substances, including 274 bottles of codeine syrups.

Alhaji Jadi explained that nine of the suspects have been charged to the Federal High Court in Jalingo while investigation was still ongoing on the remaining suspects.
