The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Akwa Ibom State says it has arrested 412 suspects in the last one year for being in possession of hard drugs.

State Commander of NDLEA, Mr Mohammed Sokoto, told newsmen, yesterday, in Uyo as part of activities marking the 2019 International Day against Drug Abuse and Trafficking.

He said during the period under review, the command seized a total of 322.5kg of drugs and secured 20 convictions, adding that 56 out of the suspects were females while 356 were males.
