The Edo State Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested a 54-year-old woman, identified as Fodo Stella Sunday, with alleged 69 bags of cannabis.
Addressing journalists in Benin, the State NDLEA Commander, Mitchell Ofoyeju, said the suspect was arrested at Uzebba, in the Owan West Local Government Area of the state.
He said the 69 bags of skunk, a strong strain of cannabis, were found in a three-bedroom bungalow in the area.
“Fodo Stella Sunday was arrested in connection with the 69-bag seizure,” he added.

Ofoyeju further disclosed that the command has charged six suspects to court, but noted that it did not secure any convictions in August due to the court’s vacation.
He said that in addition to enforcement activities, the agency also focuses on drug demand reduction, having counseled 13 clients and with 11 currently undergoing rehabilitation.
