Senator Joshua Lidani representing Gombe South constituency has said the Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency is ill equipped to operate efficiently.
Lidani who is the chairman, Senate Committee on Drugs and Narcotics said this on Monday in Kano at the ongoing senate roundtable titled ‘Drug Use Crisis in Nigeria’.
He said, “The NDLEA are ill equipped & this affects their operational efficiency & effectiveness. We should not shy away from funding the NDLEA. I wish us a successful deliberation and I hope at the end of this event we are able to tackle these problems facing us.”
He thanked the Senate president, Bukola Saraki for organizing the roundtable aimed to tackle the menace of drug and substance abuse.
