The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has said it arrested 93 suspects and seized 5,377.125kg of banned substances at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos, in 2018.

NDLEA Commandant at the MMIA, Mr. Ahmadu Garba, said, of the 93 suspects, 77 were male and 16 were female, and added that the arrests were made during routine checks on departing airlines.

Mr. Ahmadu added that the command recorded 25 convictions in 2018, as well as received 80 Nigerians deported for drug offences.
