The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Niger Command, has arrested two suspects with 64kg of substance suspected to be Indian Hemp, in Makera, Kontagora Local Government Area of the state.
The NDLEA commander in the state, Mrs Sylvia Egwunwoke, made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Minna yesterday.
Egwunwoke said the suspects (names withheld) were arrested with 64kg compressed cannabis sativa inside three cartons concealed under crates of eggs in a commercial vehicle to beat security operatives.
The sacks of dried weeds suspected to be cannabis saliva were intercepted at Makera check point, while being conveyed by the suspects to Sokoto State.
The commander said the suspects would soon be charged to court after investigation.
