Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have uncovered three illicit drug warehouses in the Okota area of Lagos, seizing substances valued at N16.9 billion.
The agency’s Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, disclosed that the intelligence-led operations were carried out on April 17, 2026, at multiple locations within Park View Estate, Ago Palace, Okota.
Recovered items include 2,360,000 pills of high-potency tramadol (225mg) and 1,909,400 bottles of codeine syrup concealed in 19,094 cartons.
Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of NDLEA, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (retd.), described the operation as a major breakthrough against drug trafficking.
“The scale of this recovery is a testament to our officers’ commitment and capability. It sends a strong message that there is no safe haven for drug traffickers,” he said.
Marwa warned that the agency would continue to dismantle drug networks and bring offenders to justice.
