Immediate past President of NECA Chief Richard Uche, made this call at the association’s 2013 Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Lagos, where he noted that the unions have the capability to mobilize and manage their members.
Ucheassured unions that his association will create a conducive atmosphere for them to discharge their responsibilities.
He advised the Federal Government to implement the Steve Oronsanye’s report which recommended reduction and scrapping of some ministries and agencies, maintaining that those lobbying the Federal Government to jettison the report do not mean well for the country.
While appealing to the Federal Government to shun the entreaties of lobbyists bent on truncating the implementation of the report, he lamented that the number of government agencies is too much for the country to cope with.
