The regional director spoke with Daily Trust in the rural communities of Angwan Ahmadu and Angwan Ayaba in Nasarawa State last when CBN Africa handed over two clinics to them.
He thanked the communities for the cooperation CBN Africa enjoyed while executing the health projects.
He traced the history of CBN Africa’s involvement in Angwan Ahmadu village to 2004 when it established a women empowerment sewing centre and provided a mechanized water well for the community.
He said “CBN Africa recognised the dire need of a health care facility for the people in Angwan Ahmadu and Angwan Ayaba after conducting a needs assessment in both villages.”
He urged the people to protect the projects saying CBN Africa will continue to play a supervisory role. The two clinics were built with a grant from the Japanese Embassy in Nigeria.
Mr Masaya Otsuka who is Deputy Head of Mission of the Japanese Embassy expressed appreciation to CBN Africa for the successful execution of the project saying it has wide experience in the health sector and has monitored the project very well.
