In addition to new sheet metal, the new 300 sports a completely redesigned interior with a standard 8.4-inch Uconnect infotainment system. “We recently tested it in the 2011 Dodge Journey, and it offers a lot of capability, though navigation is not standard,” says Cars.com. “One thing we don’t like about these types of systems is having to use the screen to adjust certain climate controls, like the fan mode and heated seats.”

But a standard media center isn’t where the upgrades end. Car and Driver reports, “The interior will feature new blue ambient LED lighting, and LEDs also will illuminate the running lamps in the front fascia and the taillights.” Price? That’s yet to be determined, but with the new upscale look, some speculate that the new 300 might sport a higher MSRP than the previous generation.

“As Chrysler aims to reposition the 300 sedan a bit higher in U.S. buyers’ minds, corporate master Fiat is also planning to rebadge the car and turn it into a Lancia in Europe,” says Edmunds. “The new Chrysler 300 looks more expensive, but will customers pay a premium?” The 2011 Chrysler 300 debuts next month at the 2011 Detroit Auto Show.
