The programme allows money, payments, and services to get to the farmers from those who have money, payments or services to make to them (farmers).
 Explaining the new initiative to stakeholders in the farming business in Kano during the flag off ceremony at Royal Tropican Hotel, representative of Cellulant, coordinators of the new initiative, Mr. Bolaji Akinbora, stated that, it is aimed at moving farmers forward in a structured way that will connect them easily to the market, input supply, technology, information among other benefits, and also in organising them for rural prosperity and financial inclusion through the e-wallet.
He added that NAPI is being built on some pillars that include procedures of getting involved in the initiative, concluding that if the processes are followed effectively, the initiative can create no less than 5,000 new jobs in the state and for the grassroots.
 Speaking during the event, Kano State Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources, Alhaji Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, who was represented by the permanent secretary of the ministry, Muhammed Ibrahim Dankadai, said Kano State has done a lot in improving agricultural activities in the state.
