Olumode Samuel Adeyemi, new substantive Controller-General of the Federal Fire Service (FFS)
The federal government has decorated the newly appointed Controller-General of the Federal Fire Service (FFS), Olumode Adeyemi, urging him to be courageous to act in the best interest of Nigerians.
The Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, who gave the charge while decorating Adeyemi on Thursday in Abuja, said he should always act in the best interest of Nigeria even when such decisions are unpopular.
Tunji-Ojo told the new CG that his appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was based solely on competence and capability, while warning that leadership is about responsibility, not seeking approval.
“Picture where FFS is today and picture where it needs to be because you will be judged by how well you can transform the service,” the minister said.
