The students represented Nigeria and their schools on an all-expense paid trip to Washington, D.C USA for the Microsoft Worldwide Championship.
The lucky young people joined other national champions from 120 countries in Europe, America and Asia courtesy of New Horizons for their participation in the competition.
A statement from the company said that this is the 5th time in the last four years that New Horizons is fully taken financial responsibility for the participation of Nigerian kids in International competition.
The year’s students are Master Ejidele Inioluwa Morakinyo , who was the National winner of Adobe Certified Associate competition from Doregos Private Academy and Miss Akintilo Naomi Mopelola the National winner of Microsoft Office Specialist competition from Vivian Fowler Memorial College for Girls.
The Managing Director, New Horizons Nigeria, Tim Akano disclosed that on a yearly basis, the company organises the National Certiport competitions and sponsors the winners on an all-expense paid trip to the USA to compete with the other over 300,000 National champions from over 120 countries.

He said, “We have produced the youngest Microsoft Certified Professional, Youngest Adobe Certified Associate and Youngest EC-Council Security 5 Professional. We are determined to make technology available to students in Nigeria and make parents embrace standard IT education for their wards. We have produced over hundreds of International Certified ICT professionals from our partner schools. With our presence in over 75 primary and secondary schools, New Horizons is determined to have a Nigerian emerge the Microsoft and Adobe World Champions.”
