The Seme Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service has celebrated the promotion of 66 senior officers to various ranks.

The ceremony, which took place at the ECOWAS Complex, Joint Border Post, Seme-Krake, was attended by heads of sister security agencies, family members, and stakeholders.

Comptroller Wale Adenuga, the Customs Area Controller, congratulated the promoted officers, emphasizing that their new ranks come with greater responsibility and humility.

He urged them to rededicate themselves to the service, upholding the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.

The promotion, which was approved by the Nigeria Customs Service Board during its 63rd Regular Meeting in Abuja, is a significant morale booster for the Seme Area Command. It recognizes the hard work, dedication, and commitment of the senior officers, who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and expertise in their various roles.

The promoted officers, who were visibly elated, expressed their gratitude to the Nigeria Customs Service Board and the Comptroller-General of Customs for the recognition. They pledged to justify the confidence reposed in them, working tirelessly to achieve the command’s goals and objectives.

The promotion ceremony was witnessed by dignitaries, including the Comptroller, Enforcement and Drugs, and the Comptroller, Administration, among others. It was marked by fanfare, with the presentation of certificates and insignia to the promoted officers.

Speaking on behalf of the decorated officers, CSC Oreyeni Olufemi expressed gratitude to the CGC, the CAC, senior officers, families, and colleagues. He pledged that the officers would justify the confidence reposed in them and continue to contribute to the success of the Service.

The joyous event was graced by Heads of the Sister Security agencies at the JBP, including Nigeria Immigration Service, DSS, NDLEA, NAFDAC, Port Health Service, NAQS, EOD/Anti-Bomb Unit as well as family members and stakeholders. It was an atmosphere of unity, thanksgiving, and renewed dedication to the vision of the Nigeria Customs Service.
