Speaking at a brief handover ceremony in Abuja on Thursday, he thanked God and the President Goodluck Jonathan for the opportunity to serve. He promised to bring his expertise as a professional surveyor of many years to make the survey and mapping profession the envy of all.
Earlier, the out-going Surveyor General, Professor Chigozie Nwilo thanked management and staff of the office for their cooperation and urged them to give their unalloyed support to his successor, Surveyor Awudu.
Surveyor Awudu was a former Surveyor General of Bayelsa State and Director Planning, Research and Documentation of the office of the Surveyor General of the Federation.
He holds a Rivers State University Degree in Land Survey and also a post graduate degree in Public Administration from the Imo State University.
