NFF considers disciplinary action against Amodu

The former Super Eagles coach was granted a four-week leave since his sacking from the post and was expected to return to coach the country’s home-based team.

But since the leave expired two weeks ago, the manager has not returned as his team is currently participating in the Wafu Nations Cup which prompted NFF boss Sani Lulu to consider action.

“He was due to have resumed work at the expiration of his leave, but he has not reported for duty,” Lulu said.

“It is an administrative issue, and there are clear procedures to be followed. The secretariat is handling it and I believe they know the right thing to do.”

Swede coach Lar Lagerback took over from Amodu two months ago to lead the Super Eagles to the World Cup to be held in South Africa in June.

The action is said to have infuriated Amodu who is also said to be considering legal action at FIFA to force the NFF to pay up his contract.
