A look at the list shows that Super Eagles assistant coach, Daniel Amokachie, Flying Eagles Chief coach, Samson Siasa, Golden Eaglets Chief coach John Obuh and former Eaglets and Eagles assistant coach, Henry Nwosu did not make the list.

Answering a question on why the top coaches were not included, FIFA Technical Advisor, Chief Onigbinde, who is directing the exercise, said the grading is a continuous exercise, and other persons would be graded as soon as they return forms sent to them.

Speaking during the inauguration of the first set of coaches graded in Elder, Elite and A categories, NFF President Sani Lulu Abdullahi praised the hard work of the interim management committee of the Nigeria Football Coaches Association, headed by Onigbinde, and expressed joy that the exercise, a first in the history of Nigeria football, had come to fruition.

Graded in the Elder category are Chief Onigbinde himself, Coaches Monday Sinclair, Joseph Ladipo, Dominic ‘Alhaji’ Nwobodo, Michael Omodara, Ismaila Mabo, Amusa Adisa, Ismaila Lulu, Paul Hamilton, Alabi Aisien, Sebastien Brodricks-Imasuen and Austin Akosa.

In the Elite category are Christian Chukwu, Godwin Izilien, Kelechi Emeteole, Kadiri Ikhana, Shaibu Amodu, James Peters and Kashimawo Laloko. In the A category are Tunde Disu, Fatai Amoo, Eucharia Uche, Charles Bassey, Ntiero Effiom, Okey Emordi, Abiodun Paul Jide, Benjamin Duamlong, Bitrus Bewarang, Hassan Abubakar, Kayode Olajulungbe, Ladan Bosso, Nasidi Danladi, Solomon Ogbeide, Lawrence Akpokona, Daniel Evumena, Abayomi Ayodele, Niyi Akande, Patrick Eromona, Alphonsus Dike and Garba Illah.
