The Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Chris Ngige, has charged labour unions to create jobs for unemployed youths in the country.
He spoke in Lagos at the commissioning of the second phase of the National Union of Food Beverage and Tobacco Employees(NUBTE).
He stated that the union has transformed from employees to employers by gainfully employing Nigerians.
The union, he said, has diversified its revenue base to the new hospitality business of hoteling and production of quality foods.
Also speaking, the National President of the NUFBTE, Comrade Lateef Oyelekan, said that there was an urgent need for all stakeholders to come together and tackle the challenges of youth unemployment.
