In a meeting attended by all the legislators with the exception of Fintiri, Ngilari said he had forgiven any individual or group who might have contributed to his predicament, saying he would work closely with the legislators to fast-track development in the state.
The governor said he believed that the impeachment of Nyako and his confirmation as governor were acts of God, saying he would not blame the legislators  of wrong doing.
 “And I want to tell the world that there is no discord between us. If anybody is talking about discord that person is not a  Christian or a Muslim, what comes my way is not a surprise, God meant it to be like that, all that happened to me is now history”, he said.
The governor stressed the importance of genuine reconciliation among members of the PDP to have the strength to confront the challenges confronting the people of Adamawa. He also pledged to consult with the Assembly on relevant issues and forge understanding among the various arms of government for smooth running of government.
“I pray that those I offended should forgive me and I also forgive those who offended me. Therefore we must now work together as a family. I can’t claim to be an island and I need your advice to move the state forward”, Ngillari added.
In his response, the state PDP chairman, Joel Madaki, urged the governor and the lawmakers to mend fences and operate in synergy for the interest of the state and the country at large.
Responding on behalf the legislators, Salisu Kabilo, who represents Verre Constituency, assured the governor of loyalty, stressing the need to support the new government in the interest of the people.
He urged the public to support Ngillari’s administration  to ensure development and peaceful coexistence among various groups in the state.
So far, the names of those being considered for the post of deputy governor include, Lawan Habu, the former chairman of Girei LG, Awwal Tukur, the former member, House of Representatives and son of Bamanga Tukur as well as Nuhu Ribadu, all from the Central Senatorial Zone. A source told our correspondent that several names are being considered as various interest groups are holding meetings in Yola and Abuja to perfect their plans
The PDP secretary, Barrister Tahir Shehu, said the issue of appointment of cabinet did not feature at the reconciliation meeting. He said the meeting focused on unity between arms of government and party members in the state.
