A foundation, Mother & Child Care Enhancement Foundation (McCEF), Lafia, has donated items to some vulnerable people in Nasarawa State.
In her address at the distribution of the items, the Executive Director of McCEF, Hajiya Salamatu Tanko Almakura, said, “We are working to keep touching the lives of people through these humanitarian services to improve their lives.”
Hajiya Salamatu said the distribution for 2021 tagged: “McCEF Integrated Empowerment”, was for beneficiaries selected from across Nasarawa South.
She explained that the items distributed were orthopaedic mattresses, bedsheets and wheel chairs to Primary Health Care (PHCs) and grinding machines.
Other items were exercise books, water bottles and food flasks to selected schools; fertiliser to farmers and gas cylinders to traditional birth attendants.
The Project Manager of McCEF, Ambassador Adams Alhassan Doma, said the programme also featured the award presentation to IHV Nigeria as the most impactful partner of McCEF in 2020 in the state and called on the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the items.
