Two hundred youths have benefited from an NGO, Narai Foundation (NF), in Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

The Director of NF, Mr. Stephen Abraham Narai, donated farming implements to enable the youths boost their agricultural activities at an event in One Man Village, Karu LGA, under its agricultural support scheme, with the slogan: “No Farms No Food, No Food No Nation”.

Mr. Narai said, “The foundation is focussing on how to address challenges being faced by farmers, that is why we are presenting 80 sprayers, 150 sacks of hybrid maize, 50 cartons of herbicides and 22 bags of fertiliser,” adding that, “The gesture is to complement the Federal Government towards reviving agriculture in the country.”

Speaking at the event, a former ASUU Chairman, Nasarawa State University, Keffi, Dr. K’tso Nghargbu, commended Stephen Abraham for donating the items to the farmers and called on the beneficiaries to make use of them as expected to enable them have a bumper harvest.

Dr. Nghargbu challenged wealthy individuals to emulate Abraham Narai, saying the donor had complemented government’s effort by empowering farmers.

The beneficiaries appreciated the Narai Foundation for donating the items to them and promised to utilise them to boost their farming activities.
