NGO holds antenatal classes for IDPs in Abuja

In commemoration of the International Migrants Day, a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), the Wellbeing Foundation Africa (WBFA), has delivered free antenatal education classes at the Wassa Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camp in Abuja, over the weekend.
The WBFA team, led by its Abuja Programmes Manager, Dr. Yewande Ayoola, and its Lagos Midwifery Programmes Officer, Mrs. Eunice Akhigbe, in collaboration with the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Abuja Operations Office representatives, visited the camp to provide antenatal classes for expectant mothers.
The excited women gathered in large numbers to welcome the team and attend the very first antenatal classes within the camp.
The WBFA provided expectant mothers at the camp with high quality antenatal education, as well as other essentials of life, including bags of soap, deodorants, antiperspirants and body lotions.
Chairman of the camp, Mr. Hamman Abubakar, described the gesture as a welcome development as expectant mothers travelled more than half an hour to access such services.
