A non-governmental organisation, The New Incentives, All Babies Are Equal, is supporting mothers with N500 each to patronise immunisation in Zamfara State.
The programme, run across the state has expanded its activities in Kaura Namoda LGA to cover 38 health facilities.

The New Incentives All Babies Are Equal is a development partner programme supporting Zamfara State Primary Health Care Board on routine immunisation programmes and currently operates in three states – Jigawa, Katsina and Zamfara.
Under the programme, mothers are supported with N500 each for four consecutive rounds of immunization and N2000 during the fifth round as motivation.
Speaking during the advocacy visit to Kaura Namoda LG and emirate councils, the Deputy Operations Coordinator of the programme in Nigeria, Malam Mubarak Bawa, said the programme was operated in 10 LGAs of the state in 100 health facilities.
The Executive Secretary Zamfara State Primary Health Care Board, Dr. Isma’il Tukur, said Kaura Namoda LG has excelled in immunization and allied health care score card.
The Emir of Kaura Namoda, Alhaji Sanusi Muhammad Asha, and the Council’s Sole Administrator, Alhaji Lawal Isah Abdullahi, promised to give all the necessary support to the programme.
