A Non-Governmental Organisation  (NGO), DPAT Foundation, in collaboration with Gwagwalada Area Council and Abuja Enterprise Agency, has organised a training on hands/skill acquisition for women and youths in the area.

The president of the foundation, Mrs. Patience Ade, said the NGO was training women of the area in various hands/skill acquisition programmes that would help them become self-reliant.

She said the NGO would teach the women and youths how to make soap, cream, tailoring and hair dressing among others.

The council chairman, Alhaji Adamu Mustapha, who declared the training workshop open, said his administration was determined to ensure that youths and women empowerment is given priority.

He called on the participants to ensure they paid utmost attention on what they have learnt during the training so that they will also impart the knowledge to others in their respective communities.
