The Director General of the Labour Party Directorate of Mobilisation and Integration (DMI), Hon. Marcel Ngogbehie, has been acknowledged by party members and affiliated groups as he marked his birthday, with remarks focusing on his involvement in grassroots political mobilisation and engagement.
In a goodwill message, Director of the Good Governance Institute, Vera Daniel, said Ngogbehie had provided leadership within the directorate, noting his role in coordinating its activities.
Similarly, the Imo State Directorate of Mobilisation and Integration, in a statement signed by its Coordinator, Ladykay Iwunze, said his leadership contributed to strengthening internal structures and member coordination within the group.
“Your leadership has been a guiding light, uniting people, strengthening structures, and advancing the ideals of citizen participation in governance, mobilisation and integration,” the statement read.
Ngogbehie has been involved in mobilisation efforts within the Labour Party and affiliated groups, including participation in mass campaigns such as the One-Million Man March and other initiatives aimed at encouraging public participation in governance.
He is also identified as a member of the Obidient Movement, which played a role in the political activities surrounding the 2023 general elections.
Labour Party National Chairman, Barrister Julius Abure, in his remarks, acknowledged Ngogbehie’s contributions to the party’s activities, including his involvement in organising the party’s leadership summit held in 2022 at the International Conference Centre, Abuja.
Ngogbehie currently serves as Director General of the DMI at the party’s national headquarters.
