The NHIS North East Coordinator Alhaji Ma’aji Abdu made this known when he paid a visit to the traditional rulers of the state.
Speaking at the palace of the Emir of Zing,  Alhaji Ma’aji called on the emir to help NHIS mobilize his people.
Responding the Emir of Zing, Engr. Alhaji Abbas Ibrahim Sambo lamented over the poor condition of health care facilities in his area, calling on the federal government to intervene.
The emir also stated, “We hope this NHIS program will benefit our rural people”.
The team accompanied by the Taraba State coordinator Malam Sa’ad Ahmad also moved to Mambila Emirate in Sardauna Local Government where they met with the wakilin Mambila, a senior member of the Emirate.
At Mambila emirate, they announced the commencement of the NHIS mobile program to meet the NHIS 30 percent Social Health Insurance coverage by the year 2015.
Individual can buy a Health Insurance plan through sending a mobile credit card. The ZC stated “For now the program commenced as a pilot in Lagos and Ogun State,  before it proceeds  to all the states of the federation.’’
