NIA elects Efekoha 22nd chairman

The Managing Director/CEO, Consolidated Hallmark Insurance Plc, Mr Eddie Efekoha, has been elected as the 22nd Chairman of the Nigerian Insurers Association (NIA).
NIA is the umbrella body of insurance companies operating in Nigeria.
He took over from Mr Godwin Wiggle whose tenure as chairman ended on June 30, 2016.  Efekoha was previously the deputy chairman of the association.
Efekoha, during his investiture, solicited for support of his members to take the institute  to a greater height.
He said that he would address four critical areas in line with the theme of his administration. They include sustainable market development through stakeholders engagement, enforcing market discipline among key industry players to involve engagement with colleagues and partners in the industry to encourage market development and continuity in the industry;
“Review of the NIA constitution to make it more dynamic in response to the changing business environment and continuing projects embarked upon by the association, especially the NIA building project.”
