 Speaking at the workshop with theme ‘Repositioning Cultural Workers for Improved Productivity’ which held in Nasarawa State, the Executive Secretary of NICO, Dr. Barclays Ayakoroma said that building the capacity of staff to sustain the ongoing momentum in the culture industry was pertinent.
“As the training arm of the ministry, it is only natural that we create this platform, train and retrain workers, it is capacity building for staffers in the sector, you know very well that if somebody is not receiving regular training, there is tendency of becoming ineffective. It is an avenue for people to refresh their minds as far as current trends in cultural administration are concern,” Ayakoroma said.
The NICO helmsman added that the participants must possess some special attributes of prospective cultural administrator for them to record success.
