Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger State
Niger State House of Assembly yesterday screened four out of the 17 commissioner-nominees submitted to it by Governor Abubakar Sani Bello.
The four nominees screened were Yusuf Suleiman, Mohammed Idris, Nasara Dan Mallam, the immediate past Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice and Zakari Abubakar who was the immediate past commissioner of finance.
Daily Trust reports that Idris, Dan Malam and Abubakar were asked to take a bow after few questions posed to them by the lawmakers, while Suleiman, Director General of Gov. Bello’s campaign organization, was asked to do same without answering any question.
The assembly however received two petitions before the commissioner nominees screening commenced. The screening is expected to continue on Wednesday.
