Niger sate has directed immediate upgrade of dilapidated facility at a temporary orientation camp in Paiko for National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).

The state government also said it planned to address the perennial, water problem at the camp through the provision of borehole before the commencement of new orientation.

Speaking during the opening ceremony of the 2017 Batch ‘A’ pre-mobilization workshop in Minna, Governor Abubakar Bello who described the state of facility in the camp as unacceptable promised that the corps members and the staff hostels would be given immediate attention.

He also directed that the payment of the state monthly allowance to corps members serving in the state which was stopped by the immediate past administration be commence so as to enhance their welfare.

Director-General of the NYSC, Brigadier General Sule Kazaure in his address said the per mobilization workshop is a regular platform for bringing together all the critical stakeholders in the mobilization process to appraise previous mobilization activities with a view to fashioning out ways of improving on the next exercise
