Niger state government says it has earmarked N1.273 billion in the budget proposal submitted to the state House of Assembly for the completion of on-going road projects.
The projects include Gulu-Edati, Wuse-Garam-FCT roads as well as the consultancy on the dualisation of Minna-Bida road expected to be constructed with the support of Islamic Development Bank (IDB).
Niger state Governor Abubakar Sani Bello said part of the appropriation would also be used to construct and rehabilitate township roads in Minna, Agaie, Bida, Lapai and Suleja in addition to the maintenance of Dokodza-Dzukogi road in Bida as well as Kagara-Madaka.
He said the state government would also construct trailer parks in Suleja, Mokwa and Tegina in order to address the chaotic situation on some highways across the state.
