The Niger State House of Assembly has confirmed the appointment of Abubakar Musa Mohammed Kigera as the substantive Grand Khadi of Shari’a Court of Appeal of the state.
He was confirmed after he was grilled by the lawmakers on the floor of the House.

The motion for Kigera’s confirmation was moved by Mohammed Abba Bala, member representing Borgu Constituency and seconded by Malik Madaki Bosso, representing Bosso Constituency to confirm the nominee as the new Grand Khadi.
The lawmakers advised him to bring his wealth of experience to bear in the administration of justice in the state.
The new Grand Khadi was born on September 3, 1971 and hails from Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State.
Kigera holds a Degree in Law (LL.B), Diploma in Shari’a and Civil Law and Diploma in Arabic Language Education.
He started his career in Kebbi State as Clerical Assistant, Assistant Registrar, Area Court Judge, Sharia Court Judge and Upper Shari’a Court Judge before joining the Niger State Sharia Court of Appeal as Khadi.
