Niger State Governor, Umaru Mohammed Bago, has commissioned the electrification project initiated by the member representing Borgu/Agwara Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Jafar Muhammad Ali.

The project links Lumma and Babanna, two major towns in the area and communities under them to the national grid.

Other benefitting communities include Lumma, Lambu, Kuble, Yaboi, Audu-Fari, Bakwa-dukawa, Dabiri and Garuji.

The lawmaker also facilitated the connection of Agwara Local Government Area of the state to the national grid.

Benefiting communities in Agwara LGA  include Lumma, Swashi, Guffanti, Kwana, Kwan, Papiri, Gallah, Tashan-Fulani, Agwara, Busuru and Rofia.

Speaking during the commissioning of the projects, Governor Bago said Hon Ali’s development vision aligned with that of his administration’s ‘New Niger’  and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda  which could only be achieved through robust  and  uninterrupted power supply.
