The veteran politician listed credibility and competence as qualities of the candidate in offering his advice.  That’s a useful and apt advice, because Nigerlites are seeking a strong candidate to address issues of neglect for which the government of Muazu Babangida Aliyu of the PDP is known for over the years .
Because of the total underdevelopment in Niger, citizens of the state are of the view that a change at government House, Minna come May, 29th 2015 has become very necessary.  A tour of the 25 local government areas of the state revealed that a lot needs to be done to salvage the state from the grip of misrule more so when Niger State is considered to be the most backward state in Nigeria in terms of development. .Bribery and corruption by the politicians and government officials are responsible for this non-performance .The people in Niger State strongly believes that with Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello at the helm of affairs, the underdevelopment of the state will become a thing of the past.
This is so because Babangida Aliyu has proved to be grossly ineffective in administering the state .Only recently, the Chief Servant was booed at Mokwa, Kagara and Kuta local government Areas by angry youths who accused him of underperformance in his eight years in office. Two vehicles in his convoy were destroyed in Suleja recently by the mob for the same reason.
These developments are indicators of the people’s anger and revolt of Niger state against one of their own in whom they entrusted responsibility to enhance for their socio economic development, but which he mismanaged because of parochial and self-seeking misadventure.
It is very obvious now that with emergence of a credible and formidable political party like APC, which has produced a young and dynamic candidate in the person of Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello Lolo, the days of such misadventure would be over.
