Niger Tornadoes players have received a N1 million cash reward following their emphatic 4–0 victory over Plateau United on Matchday 9 at the Bako Kontagora Stadium.

Abdulazeez Dalhatu stole the show with a hat-trick, while Shehu Dabai added the fourth goal to seal a dominant win.

Chairman of the Niger State Sports Commission, Danjuma Abdul Masu, presented the players with the cash reward after the match.

Dalhatu and Dabai also received individual awards and ₦200,000 each for their outstanding performances.

The victory was Tornadoes’ fourth win of the 2025/26 NPFL season, extending their unbeaten run to three matches.

The Ikon Allah Boys now sit fourth on the table with 14 points from nine games.

In a related development, the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has confirmed that the Matchday 9 encounter between Bendel Insurance and Rivers United will now be played on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City.

The fixture, originally scheduled for Saturday, October 18, was postponed due to Rivers United’s CAF Champions League engagement in Maputo, Mozambique, where they lost 1–0 to Black Bulls FC in the first leg of the second preliminary round.

Meanwhile, Bendel Insurance, nicknamed the Benin Arsenal, will travel to Owerri on Sunday, October 26, for a Matchday 10 clash with NPFL newcomers Kun Khalifat FC. The game will mark the debut of new technical manager, Kennedy Boboye.
