Organisers of the annual Nigeria Cup Golf Tournament have announced that the 2025 edition will tee off on Saturday, September 20, at the prestigious Ikoyi Club 1938 in Lagos.

The event, organised by the Ikoyi Golf Community Nigeria Association, is held to commemorate Nigeria’s independence anniversary. Beyond celebration, it also serves as a platform for elite competition, networking, and youth development.

Chairman of the organising committee, Wale Onaolapo, underscored the vision behind the event, saying:

“The Nigeria Cup is more than a tournament, it is a national celebration of unity, excellence, and sportsmanship. In 2025, we are raising the standard even higher.”

Speaking on the value of sponsorship, Chairman of the sponsorship sub-committee, Ayo Adegboye, noted that the tournament continues to provide unrivalled opportunities for corporate brands.

“Partnering with the Nigeria Cup is a big deal for very discerning Corporates. With enhanced brand visibility through digital and on-course placements, content creation for promotional materials, networking, and direct engagement opportunities with high-calibre individuals in a relaxed environment can only mean good return on investment, the type that only Ikoyi Club 1938 can offer,” he explained.
