Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu, has said government is working with the Commonwealth of Learning (COL) to create a learning environment in which children are motivated to learn.

Mal. Adamu made the statement yesterday at the 2018 Commonwealth Day celebration in Abuja. He said Nigeria was working in partnership with COL, an inter-governmental organisation of the Commonwealth of Nations, to mainstream child-friendly school models and more effective approaches to teacher education curriculum.

He said government would institutionalise early childhood care and education, promote girl child and special needs education, as well as provide equitable and inclusive access to quality education at all levels.
