Nigeria’s senior men’s cricket team has continued with their dominance after winning six matches they have played since the beginning of the ongoing West Africa Trophy tournament at the Tafawa Balewa Square Oval in Lagos.
The Yellow Green team yesterday edged Ghana by 82 runs at match 11 to remain at the top of the table with 12 points.
The match began with Nigeria batting first after winning the toss. At the end of the first innings, the Yellow Green scored 142 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs.
At the commencement of the second innings, their opponent- Ghana could not match up with the runs of the Nigeria team after they ended scoring 60 runs all out after 14.2 overs.

At the end of the match, Nigeria’s cricketer, Runsewe Sulaimon emerged as the Man of the Match, after scoring an individual 80 runs.
Meanwhile, Sierra Leone won their first match by 2 runs against Rwanda after going five matches without a win.
In yesterday’s match, Sierra Leone won the toss and did the first batting. At the end of the first innings, they scored 109 runs with a loss of 10 wickets to win against Rwanda who had 107 runs at the end of the second innings.
The 10-day invitational tournament is featuring teams from Ghana, Sierra Leone, and Rwanda.
