The Chairman, NCS Lagos Chapter, Mr. Rogba Adeoye at the 2013 conference and Annual General Meeting of the chapter in Lagos noted that  increase in the deployment of IT tools and services in Nigeria makes it important for stakeholders to find ways of addressing risks associated with technological adoption.
Adeoye  also called on computer professionals in Nigeria to acquire forensic Information Technology skills into professional practice.
He said: “Today, as we continue to deploy IT services, we also contend with various security threats. This presents a challenge to computer professionals as we are not expected to take some steps foward to become professionally certified forensic IT experts.”
Adeoye lamented the increasing cases of cyber frauds that happen both in the business world and the public sector, saying that detection of online financial fraud daily carried out by some unscrupulous elements needed to be tackled with the right knowledge for prosecution purposes.
