A statement from the agency signed by its spokesman, Orakwue Arinze said the partnership will also help target trafficking networks in both countries.
Executive Secretary of NAPTIP, Mrs. Beatrice Jedy-Agba, Comptroller General of Immigration Service, Mr. David Parrandang recently held a high level discussion at the Campillo Del Mundo, Nuevo, Spain with the General Directorate of Spanish Police, Mr. Cosido Ignacio to foster joint intelligence, investigation, forensic science, capacity building, as well as victim protection and assistance between both countries.
At the meeting, Mrs. Jedy-Agba said there is need for sending and receiving countries of human trafficking to close ranks in order to strengthen cooperation in the fight against illegal migration and all forms of human trafficking.
The NAPTIP boss said that involvement of all parties working together at different capacities will help eradicate the scourge.
