Nigeria has been ranked as the 91st happiest country according to the annual World’s Happiest Country report for 2018.

The annual ranking published by the Sustainable Development Solutions Network, a United Nations initiative showed that Nigeria moved up four places, from its 95th position in last year’s report.

The report which sampled 156 countries was released on Wednesday, ahead of the U.N.’s International Day of Happiness, 20th March.

The top countries have high values for all six of the key variables that have been found to support well-being according to the reports.

These key variables are income, healthy life expectancy, social support, freedom, trust and generosity.

Finland, the top happiest country moved up from fifth place in 2017 to overtake Norway.

While, Burundi was ranked as the least happiest country, fell at the bottom of the ranking for things such as GDP per capita, social support, healthy life expectancy, social freedom, generosity and absence of corruption.
