Nigeria’ security challenges and nation building

Nigeria is a county endowed with both human and material resources. Unfortunately, bad leadership and governance has placed the county on the path of underdevelopment.

Today, Nigeria is bedevilled by endemic socio-economic problems. The activities of insurgents and bandits have made them highly unsecured. Money meant for development is spent on security.

Most if not all the security challenges in the country are attributed to a long  period of systematic bad leadership and injustice.

As a citizen troubled by the current unfortunate security challenges, I will kindly advise that the remuneration of political office holders and generally, the cost of governance be cut down to meet other needs of the country, most especially in the area of youth empowerment.

The president must live up to his avowed commitment of fighting the scourge of corruption which is the major factor of where we are today.

Nigeria cannot continue on the path of this evil hence the need to stop the blame game. The leaders must henceforth be accountable to the people.
