has invited Nigeria to showcase her various policies in the labour sector at an international congress tagged “International Congress on Public Policies for Employment and Social Protection” slated for next month in Mexico city.
This was disclosed recently by the Ambassador of Mexico to Nigeria Mr Antonio Garcia who presented a letter of invitation to the Minister of Labour and Productivity Emeka Wogu, in Wogu’s office.
Garcia said Nigeria’s participation will enrich the congress because of its experiences, challenges and successes.
He said, “We are sure that we can learn together by sharing experiences in order to face our respective challenges, all participants will learn from Nigeria, as your participation at the International Congress will be a valuable contribution to the conclusions of the event and a gesture very much appreciated”.  
While congratulating Wogu for his achievements as minister, Garcia affirmed his country’s willingness to work with the ministry to further strengthen bilateral relationships between the two countries.
In his response, Wogu, who accepted the invitation, said the congress is an opportunity for Nigeria to showcase her policies and programmes as it relates to job creation, skills development, child labour and productivity measurement and standards.
 “Nigeria has taken giant strides at tackling the issues of unemployment and we have recorded tremendous successes which we are willing to share with other participating countries,” the minister said.
