#NigeriaDecides: Kaduna PDP gubernatorial candidate expresses confidence on INEC

Alhaji Isa Ashiru, Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate in Kaduna State has expressed confidence on ability of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to conduct credible elections.

Ashiru said this while speaking with newsmen shortly after casting his vote at his polling unit at Kudun in Kudan Local Government Area of Kaduna State on Saturday.

“To God Almighty be the glory, I have gone round myself and from the reports we have gathered, voting is going on peacefully and orderly all over. In view of this, I want to commend INEC for a job well done.

“Even though there were few challenges of late supply of materials, as I speak, it had been supplied.

“I want to also at this juncture commend INEC for introducing accreditation and voting at the same time, this has made much easier and faster and I thank God the voters are orderly.

“I want to urge Nigerians, especially people of Kaduna State to be patient and to do the needful to get out of the problems they are presently in.’’

He commended people of Kaduna State, especially people of Kudan Local Government for their massive turnout to exercise their franchise.

Ashiru urged them to be patient, calm and continue to be hopeful for a better outcome at the end of the entire exercise. (NAN)
