The two films, which were released this week had theatres struggling to select which to have more viewing time in a day.

It’s probably the first time a Nigerian film is competing in theatres with a popular American one. 

The Wedding Party is a 2016 Nigerian romantic comedy drama franchise, directed by Kemi Adetiba, while Star Wars is an American epic space opera media franchise, centred on a film series created by George Lucas.
